The Kansas City Chiefs featured many star defensive players through their Super Bowl season that weren’t acknowledged by the NFL for Pro Bowl consideration.
The exceptional performance of cornerback L’Jarius Sneed surprised many that he wasn’t selected as an All-Pro or Pro Bowler. Still, it did raise his profile around the league, putting him in line for a potential top-tier contract.
The glow of winning another Super Bowl title is hard to ignore from every player from Kansas City, but probably no one is glowing more than Sneed. He took time on Thursday to share his thoughts on becoming a highly valued free agent this offseason on a recent episode of the “Up & Adams Show” with host Kay Adams.
“Pay me,” said Sneed with laughter. “Pay me, pay me. That’s what I’ve got to say — pay me. That’s all I got to say, pay me!”
"Pay me. Pay. Me."

Sneed finished the 2023 season with 78 tackles, a career-high 14 passes defended, and two interceptions in 16 games. He notably spent the year covering the other team’s best receiver, including two impressive outings against former Chiefs star Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins.
The Chiefs have some challenging decisions to make this offseason with the free agent status of Jones, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and many other key players from the Super Bowl-winning core.
