An animal welfare association rushed to pick up a chicken “caught sneaking around the security area at the Pentagon," one of the world’s most secured buildings ever, according to Agence France Press (AFP).
“Our officers were called to come pick her up,” said the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in its Facebook page.
“Did the chicken simply got lost while crossing the street or was in fact a spy on a mission to steal some state secrets? Until now, it didn’t open its beak to answer these questions,” The Military Times newspaper jokingly reported.
Internet users suggested the chicken should be named after Ethel Rosenberg, a US woman arrested and executed for spying for the Soviet Union in the 1950s.
