NEW DELHI: The legendary Hall of Fame linebacker, Dick Butkus, known for his menacing presence on the football field, has passed away at the age of 80, as announced by the Chicago Bears on Thursday. Butkus spent his entire nine-season NFL career with the Bears, where he earned a reputation as a ferocious and punishing tackler and garnered eight Pro Bowl selections.
In a statement provided by the Butkus family, it was confirmed that Dick Butkus had peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home in Malibu, California.
