Chhattisgarh to host Australia-India T20I on December 1

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh would host Australia in one of the five T20 International matches as part of a bilateral series commencing on November 23. The T20I would be played at Shaheed Veer Narayan International Cricket Stadium, Atal Nagar Nava Raipur, on December 1, 2023.

The fourth T20I, scheduled to be played at Nagpur, has been shifted to Raipur because of some technical reasons, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) spokesperson Rajesh Dave told TOI on Friday.

He said that the match will be played under the floodlights from 7 pm. From Raipur, team India will fly to Bengaluru for the fifth and the final T20I.

“Preparations on the part of the CSCS have been initiated for the T20I match. We had successfully hosted New Zealand in January this year as part of a bilateral ODI series,” he said.

For the first time, a T20I match is being played here, he said, adding, so far, one ICC match in the form of a 50-over match has been played here on January 21, 2023.
