Chhattisgarh's Shyla Alam breaks barriers in cricket, becomes trailblazing coach

RAIPUR: Breaking barriers, Shyla Alam, a former women cricketer from Chhattisgarh’s Durg district, has become the first female in India to serve as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the senior Men’s cricket team.

“I am the first woman in India to work with senior men’s teams and serve as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in BCCI’s first Class Men's domestic Tournaments such as Syed Mushtaq Ali, Vijay Hazare, and Ranji Trophy,” Shyla told TOI.
