Chhattisgarh: Orthopaedic doctor asked to pay compensation of Rs 5 lakh to 11-yr-old for negligence in treatment

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission has directed an orthopaedic doctor to pay Rs 5 lakh compensation for his "negligence" in the treatment of an 11-year-old child who had to lose his left hand.

Commission president justice Gautam Chouradia pronounced this judgment while hearing the application filed by the doctor challenging the judgment of the district consumer dispute redressal commission in the case.
