Chhattisgarh Congress in crisis: Electoral setback triggers accusations and blame game

RAIPUR: After the Congress suffered a humiliating defeat in the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, chaos has erupted within the opposition party as allegations are rapidly surfacing, including accusations of cash-for-tickets, disregard for actual surveys, and other charges against senior leaders, including the AICC General Secretary, by outgoing ministers and legislators in the state.

Brihaspati Singh and Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, who were legislators in the outgoing Vidhan Sabha, have gone public with their allegations against AICC General Secretary Kumari Selja and Secretary Chandan Yadav, holding them squarely responsible for the drubbing in the elections while leader, who was revenue minister in the Baghel government, blamed that everything was centralised and run by a handful of people.
