Chevron has announced it will invest some $7 billion in Venezuela to double its oil production in the country following the deal with the U.S. to boost private production.
"With improved terms and additional acreage, we are strengthening a portfolio that we believe can deliver attractive low-cost oil growth, support energy supply and create differentiated long-term value," company CEO Mike Wirth said in a statement.
