(Picture: Google)Police are investigating after a missing man was found set alight on a narrow country lane in Chessington.
Officers made the grim discovery in Barwell Lane two hours after a man, in his early 20s, was reported missing on Wednesday night.
The victim was found on fire in the quiet cul-de-sac just a stone’s throw away from Chessington World of Adventures theme park.
Scotland Yard said they are not treating the death as suspicious “at this time”.
A Met spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 11.11pm following concerns for the welfare of a man reported missing from Chessington.
“At around 1am emergency services attended Barwell Lane.
“The man, aged in his early 20s, was found deceased. His next of kin have been informed.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
