MAMMALLAPURAM: Indian women have worked their way to the cusp of history. They are closing in on an Olympiad medal - the first ever for the women - and that too a gold.
The road was made just a little bumpy though on Sunday when they lost to Poland 1. 5-2. 5, but the points that they managed kept them on par with Georgia, Poland and Kazakhstan in a four-way tie for the top post.
