Drag Race UK Versus The World contestant Cheryl Hole has opened up on a Facebook Live tell-all about her true feelings after her elimination at the hands of fellow cast member Janey Jacke.
After the episode aired on BBC Three on Tuesday night, fans of the Essex drag star took to Twitter to react to the unfortunate elimination of Cheryl, however she insists she feels blessed and honoured to have taken part in the show.
When asked about the reaction to her appearance on the show, Cheryl said: “I don't like to pay attention to the negativity. Everybody has an opinion but the love has been so phenomenal, it’s been so overwhelming.
"As we’ve been sitting on this for so long you can’t help get caught up in your own thoughts but just to have the support from so many amazing people means the world."
Drag stars from all across the globe are competing on Drag Race UK Versus The World as a first for the franchise.
When Cheryl was asked to return to take part on a second season she didn’t even hesitate before she agreed to a second shot
She added: “They said would you like to come back and I said yes, they said do you not want to think about it, I said no I’m there”
This week's episode saw RuPaul challenge the queens to walk the runway three times with the final outfit being handcrafted by materials they found on set.
Cheryl seemed to get stressed very quickly, when questioned on the pressure going into this challenge she was quick to explain the stress she went through to get to the end result
She said: “This time round I was putting added pressure on myself to really push and go the furthest and work the hardest. I will say nothing will get me down, I’ll always put my best foot forward and make the best of any situation”
Cheryl was booted off the show after her fellow cast member Janey Jacke from Holland won the lip sync and chose to send her home.
When asked how she would have played the game, Cheryl said: “Going into this, when we knew the rules. I said I’m going to play the game fair because I was not leaving with a guilty conscience sending someone home who had worked their tuckus off and really did the damn thing.”
After her run on the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Cheryl was known for her admiration for a large number of UK girl groups after landing in the bottom and having to lip sync in front of her idol Cheryl.
The Essex born drag star revealed to The Mirror that after Mel C judged the first episode last week, she had a very exciting encounter backstage in which the Spice Girl shouted “I love you Cheryl”.
