Three of the four teens arrested in connection with reckless behaviour that included the ramming of a garda car in Cherry Orchard are set to appear before a Dublin court tomorrow morning.
A fourth teenager who was also arrested has been referred onto the Juvenile Youth Diversion Programme gardai confirmed this evening. The terrifying incident in Cherry Orchard on September 19 saw a viral video that included a garda car rammed by joyriders.
In the video, crowds could be heard cheering the incident and egging on the drivers to ram the two cars which were later burnt out into the garda vehicle. The two female gardai who were in the car at the time later received assistance including counselling services following the attack.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí investigating the endangerment of Gardaí and related incidents in the Cherry Orchard area on the 19th of September, 2022 have charged three of the four male juveniles that were arrested this morning Monday 3rd October, 2022. Three of the male juveniles have been charged this evening and are due to appear before Dublin Children's Court, Court number 55 tomorrow morning Tuesday 4th October, 2022 at 10.30a.m.
"The fourth male juvenile has been referred to the Juvenile Youth Diversion Programme, in accordance with the Children's Act, 2001. Investigations ongoing."
