Rumours have started to swirl that Cher has gotten engaged to her younger beau Alexander Edwards after she shared a snap of the gift he bought her for Christmas.
The 76-year-old singer sent her fans into overdrive as she took to Twitter on Christmas morning to post a picture of an enormous diamond ring being held by 36-year-old Alexander.
She wrote: "THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E."
The glittering diamond ring featured a teardrop jewel in the centre and sat nestled in a black velvet box.
Cher's four million followers began to speculate that wedding bells are on the horizon, with one person commenting: "OMG did he propose to you!!!?? Mama lovely."
Another questioned: "mrs edwards?"
"Going to the chapel and she’s gonna get married," penned a third fan, while someone else added: "So happy for you!! My mom also got engaged today. You are one of her idols! So it's extra good luck."
Cher later re-posted the same picture with a different, cryptic caption.
"I posted this cause his nails are so cool," she wrote.
Cher confirmed her romance with music producer Alexander last month and has since admitted that their age gap relationship is "strange on paper".
The Believe hitmaker told fans "love doesn't know math" as she discussed her blossoming romance.
Taking to Twitter, she said: "We're happy, we're grown ups."
Cher later added: "On paper This Looks strange (Even 2 ME) A.E Says [love heart emoji] Doesn’t Know Math [sic]."
Speaking on how their relationship began, Cher replied to another fan saying: "In the end he came after me, till we met in the middle."
"He’s Consistent one, I’m The Skittish one. We love each other…. LADIES NEVER GIVE UP," she added.
Cher is said to be absolutely smitten with Alexander and wants to tie the knot with him.
"Cher is head over heels in love.
"She knows she doesn't have much time left anymore to find 'the one' and after two failed marriages and countless disastrous boyfriends, this could be her LAST chance and she isn't going to let it pass her by," a source told RadarOnline.
