Cher has sparked romance rumours with a man 40 years her junior - but it's certainly not the first time she has been seeing a younger gentleman. It may be hard to believe, but the Believe singer once had a racy romance with Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise.
Cher, 76, had already been married and divorced two times when she first met the Mission Impossible actor, 60, in 1985, so it's fortunate that she believes in life after love. Sparks flew when the pair, who have a 16-year age-gap, were introduced to one another at Sean Penn and Madonna's wedding in Malibu.
Shortly afterwards, they were reunited a the White House, then embarked on a passionate love affair which made a lasting impression on the hit-maker.
"A bunch of people who were dyslexic were invited to the White House, and Tom and I are both dyslexic," she told Event magazine in 2018..
"We didn't go out till way later, but there definitely was a connection there.''
But she made it very adamant they didn't start snogging in the West Wing, claiming it was only "way later" that they started going out.
The singer revealed they are still friends - but admitted she was a bit confused about some of his beliefs.
When asked if they are still pals, she replied: "Yeah! Though I don’t get what he does, that whole Scientology thing. I can’t understand it so I just… don't."
Cher clearly considers Tom to be a real Top Gun as she has placed him in her top five lovers of all time - althought respectfully didn't divulge why.
Talking about their fling in June 2013, the Oscar-winner said: "Awww. He wasn't a Scientologist then. It was pretty hot and heavy for a little minute.
"He's a great guy. The person that I knew was a great and lovable guy."
Cher claimed she "had the greatest lovers ever", and when asked where Cruise ranked by talk-show host Andy Cohen, confessed: "He was in the top five."
But she was quick to add her list of lovers was not long, "just a good one".
Cruise went on to marry actress Mimi Rogers in 1987, but they divorced three years later, and he met second wife, Nicole Kidman, on the set of Days of Thunder.
He wed Kidman in 1990 and they adopted two children, but they divorced in 2001 - after which he started dating Vanilla Sky co-star Penelope Cruz.
The Hollywood hunk then married actress Katie Holmes in 2006, the same year their daughter Suri was born, but they divorced in 2012.
As for Cher, she had already been married to singer Sonny Bono from 1964 to 197, then another singer, Gregg Allman, from 1975 to 1978.
Speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show in 2018, she shared a number of positive opinions about her former flames.
Specifically, speaking about Val Kilmer, she said: ''When we kissed I thought my head would shoot right off my body'.
While she called Rob Camilletti - a pastry chef 18 years her junior - ''possibly the one true love of my life''.
When asked if she had a boyfriend, the talented performer replied: "Not... not this week. I'm still on the lookout."
She added: "The problem I have with all the boyfriends lately is that I don't want to go any place with them because you can't keep a relationship going in this kind of goldfish bowl, where everything you do and every picture you have taken will be on Instagram.
"There's no way to keep something special.''
Now she is being romantically linked with Amber Rose's ex, Alexander Edwards, who is 40 years her junior.
The music icon rocked up at celeb eatery Craig's in West Hollywood with the music producer on Wednesday - and were accompanied by Kylie Jenner's ex Tyga.
