Cher cuts ageless figure in all-black outfit as she attends Apple TV+ premiere in LA

Ageless Cher cut a classy figure at the LA premiere of Apple TV+'s Sidney.

Centring around the life and legacy of actor Sidney Poitier, the new movie held its star-studded launch at the at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Amongst the guests was 76-year-old US singing star Cher who looked effortlessly chic in an all-black ensemble, complete with chunky black heeled boots.

It was almost as if she could 'Turn Back Time' as the songstress, real name Cherilyn Sarkisian, stepped out on the red carpet.

Posing for snappers, the Believe chart-topper looked every bit the elegant woman as she let down her long dark locks with a beautiful pallet of make-up.

Her outing comes after she sparked a huge debate online earlier this month after Dua Lipa was branded "the Cher of our generation".

The singing sensation hit back at a Tweet which pictured her at the Grammy awards in 1974 and Dua at the same event but 47 years later.

They both wore glittery outfits with a similar butterfly design and strap details.

The user captioned the now-deleted tweet: "Dua Lipa, the Cher of our generation."

Another person shared the tweet with the caption: "So much truth in one Tweet," and tagged both artists.

But the 76-year-old was clearly unimpressed and replied: "How many yrs are in a generation," with a puzzled-looking emoji.

Her trademark long black hair flowed over her shoulders and she covered her shoulders with a sheer white cape.

One fan stood by Cher and wrote: “Props to her for this. I find the ‘they’re the new (insert artist)’ so offensive especially when the original artist is still alive.”

The person who made the original Tweet replied to Cher: "I was praising u and dua style but some people didn't get the message".

Another added: "People are not really understanding the cultural impact Cher had.

"Anyone can dress like Cher today, but it's not the same thing as being the first one to break that ground. That was Cher,"

"Also Cher has starred in movies and her own TV show. She is the one and only," they continued.
