CHENNAI: Chennaiyin FC are going through a rebuilding process under new German coach Thomas Brdaric. Their first test was Durand Cup where the two-time ISL champions lost in the quarterfinals. But now the real deal is as Chennaiyin FC open their ISL campaign against ATK Mohun Bagan at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Monday.
"We have a completely new set up and the team is going through a rebuilding process. My primary aim was to test everybody during the Durand Cup and I must say, I am pretty happy the way my boys had performed in the tournament. But, yes ISL is a different ball game and we've to play top class football to get the best results," Brdaric told TOI on Sunday.
