Chennai: Man attacks DSP during row over parking vehicle, arrested

CHENNAI: A man attacked a DSP over an argument over parking at Mylapore on Saturday night.

Prince Fredrick, 42, of Raja Annamalaipuram has been booked under five sections of IPC and subsequently arrested. DSP Arularasu Justin was on his way to attend an official work in his police jeep on Saturday when he halted his vehicle at a shop to purchase an item.

Parking his vehicle in front of a shop, Arularasu went inside when Prince Fredrick started an argument with him over parking the vehicle in front of the shop.

Despite the officer telling that he will leave in a couple of minutes, the man, who was drunk, continued to create a ruckus. When the DSP objected to this, the man attacked the officer. The DSP then alerted cops at Mylapore police station.
