The victims of the ammonia gas leak from Coromandel International Ltd’s facility in Ennore, who were admitted to a private hospital, have alleged that they were discharged even before recovery, without being handed over their scans, X-rays, and other medical reports, despite repeated requests.
Following the gas leak on the night of December 26, at least 44 people were admitted to Akash Hospital, a private hospital located almost six kilometres away from Periyakuppam – the fishing hamlet most affected due to its proximity to CIL.
