CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation on Sunday removed the defacements on the ‘Namma Chennai’ structure at the Marina Beach.
The civic body has also filed a police complaint on those who had defaced it, based on visuals circulated in social media.
On Saturday, visuals circulated in social media showed a group of youngsters who climbed on the structure and sat on it. The structure for fully defaced with sketch-pen marks of names of college students and groups.
The corporation has been regularly fining individuals and private entities who have been defacing public walls through pasting posters and pamphlets.
