CHENNAI: Customers of salons and beauty parlours can now expect better quality and safer experience as Greater Chennai Corporation has come up with new laws to regularise the trade in the wake of several unlicensed facilities springing up.
'Chennai City Municipal Licensing - hair cutting salon, beauty parlour, spa and massage parlour rules, 2022', sent to the government for approval, mandate every worker in a salon or parlour to have a uniform and ID card. CCTV cameras should be placed at the entry and exit of each centre and all client details maintained in a register.
