One of the most prestigious events of the racing calendar is set to take place this week, with thousands of spectators set to once again descend on the world famous Cheltenham Festival for the Gold Cup.
The Gold Cup is the biggest event across the festival, which has welcomed racegoers back for the first time since the start of the pandemic two years ago.
The race itself is run over three miles, and is the ultimate test, requiring more speed than the Grand National, as well as the stamina to make it up the notoriously draining hill, along with 22 fences.
