The Cheltenham Festival could see a ticket revenue increase of 1,100% despite an announcement of a drop in capacity.
It wad announced that the festival will have a capacity of 68,500 which is some 5,000 less than on Gold Cup day.
According from Myracing, the festival will see an estimated loss of €585,000 in ticket revenue in 2023.

But a rumoured fifth day at the festival could see an increase of revenue by some 1,100%
MyRacing believes if there are full capacity crowds in in 2024 and if the rumoured fifth day goes ahead the festival could scoop some €37m in ticket revenue.
They also say that an addition day would mean bring in an extra €7.5m.
They also reckon the Gloucestershire economy could benefit with Guinness being sold for €8.30 and an Irish coffee for €16.60, an extra day would provide a huge uptick to the local area.
