Cheltenham Festival: Best accumulator bets for 2025 meeting

Punters should be conscious of the reality that the Cheltenham Festival is like no other – it is easy to get carried away and easier to start chasing losses – so it is important to keep the head and enjoy the extravaganza.

There are any number of fun wagers to have, from the Placepot – which can return monstrous dividends without having to pick winners – to multiple bets. Here are five horses that you can bet as an accumulator – all have to win – or in a selection of multiple bets, allowing you to earn a profit even if not all of them prevail, which we have to concede is far more likely than not.

The beautifully bred Final Demand is our third selection in Wednesday's opening Turners Novices' Hurdle, with echoes of the great Denman when he destroyed his foes at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Many readers will recall that Denman was a hot favourite as a novice hurdler at the Festival and beaten – but Final Demand is available at around 2-1 and makes plenty of appeal.

He will have to take on The New Lion, who was bought by JP McManus and is unbeaten for Dan Skelton, who had a sensational Cheltenham in 2024.

Sixandahalf at around 3-1 could be one of the bets of the week in the Mares' Novice Hurdle on day three. Gavin Cromwell has a superb record at Cheltenham and her price is inflated here by the presence of Maughreen, a relative of Faugheen who seems to have long been priced based on potential rather than achievement.

Our final selection, Fact To File in the Ryanair Chase, also goes on Thursday, so hopefully you will be quids in come Gold Cup day.

Fact Fo File will likely not take on Galopin Des Champs in Friday's feature but, presuming he takes in the easier race on Thursday, he is really hard to oppose for JP McManus, who looks as if he will rely on Corbetts Cross and Inothewayurthinkin in the big one on day four.

Best accumulator horses

Marjborough (Arkle, Tuesday)

Constitution Hill (Champion Hurdle, Tuesday)

Final Demand (Turners Novice Hurdle, Wednesday)

Sixandahalf (Mares' Novice Hurdle, Thursday)

Fact To File (Ryanair, Thursday)
