After a show-stopping first two days of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, Thursday has also lived up to the billing after a whole host of impressive performances so far.
The day kicked off with odds-on favourite Mighty Potter being turned over after Stage Star secured the Turners Novices' Chase, before Good Time Jonny secured victory in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle. The third race of the day saw another well-backed favourite defeated as Envoi Allen secured the Ryanair Chase ahead of Cheltenham legend Shishkin.
Race four was yet another victory for the bookmakers as Sire du Berlais flew home at 33/1 in the Stayers' Hurdle, before a stewards' enquiry saw 40/1 shot Dashel Drasher lose his second position to the favourite Teahupoo.
Seddon then went on to recorded a hard-fought win in the Magners Plate Handicap Chase at 20/1, before You Wear It Well secured victory, after leading from the front to win the Jack De Bromhead Mares Novices' Hurdle. The day was then capped off with a thriller, after Angels Dawn just pipped Stumptown on the line to win the Kim Muir Challenge Cup.
