Reece James' popularity and standing in world football has been shown on social media as two the best attackers in the game responded to his Twitter message.
The Chelsea forward has had to watch from home as Rafael Leao and Vinicius Jr both star at the World Cup in Qatar, but it hasn't stopped him from getting attention from his peers. James would have been part of England's squad for the tournament had he not gotten injured playing against Leao in October.
At 22, James is already one of the most well-rounded full-backs in the world and has a growing reputation as being capable at both ends of the field. His form before getting injured had elevated him to world-class status, and with the Blues looking to add players to their squad in the coming windows, he may well have new teammates in front of him.

In a QnA on Twitter, James was asked who the hardest player he'd played against in his career was. Having been involved in some brilliant battles against some of the most dangerous forwards, James picked out three wingers, replying: "3 hardest players I’ve ever played against are all left wingers! Vinicius Jr, Leao and Mane!"
Good company to be in, James has had a good recent record against all three. Although Vinicius Jr came out on top in the Champions League last year, James was moved in the second leg to nullify his threat and did so brilliantly. He was face-to-face with Leao in October as Chelsea ran out comfortable victors home and away, with Leao's impact limited. Meanwhile Sadio Mane went 240 minutes goalless across two finals opposing James last season.
Players are more able to communicate their feelings now with social media, and both Vinicius Jr and Leao responded to the post. The Real Madrid star replied, "The best," and Leao said, "My bro."
Although those comments alone man very little, Blues fans were quick to point out the transfer interest held in Leao. Todd Boehly is eager to bring the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge and with contract worries at AC Milan there is a chance he could join next year.
Although Vinicius Jr isn't likely to be leaving Spain anytime soon, Leao is a real target and James' post and the replies have only stirred the pot. At the time of writing, Mane is yet to make his own comment, and that leaves Chelsea fans awaiting his verdict on James too.
