Ted Curd - The goalkeeper faced some difficult situations with errors ahead of him, allowing Dimano some good chances. He produced some good saves to feel good about. 6.
Brodi Hughes - Outside of getting caught on his heels for Dinamo Zagreb's second goal, the young defender brought a consistent presence on the right of Chelsea's back four and attacked well alongside Silko Thomas. 7.
Alfie Gilchrist - He showed some promising distribution and positioning but, at times, lacked some conviction in his challenge. 6.
Bashir Humphreys - The youngster's leadership qualities were on show as he tried to get his teammates to remain composed in difficult circumstances. Very calm on the ball. 6.
Zak Sturge - Had little opportunity to push forward but was pretty solid in defence on the left side of the pitch. He grew into the game as it wore on and combined well with Thomas in the second half. 7.

Kiano Dyer - Still just 15, started in the centre of the pitch, and showed some good ball play while partnering Lewis Hall. A real challenge for the youngster, which he will learn from. 6.
Lewis Hall - It took a little while for Hall to gauge his radar, but he was soon spreading the ball well and provided a precise assist for Leo Castledine. He looks unstoppable when carrying the ball and perhaps needs to do it more. 6.
Silko Thomas - Perhaps Chelsea's most lively player of the afternoon, the winger seemed to be flexible enough to alternate between a wide forward and wing-back and had a trick or two up his sleeve. He was unfortunate not to score in the opening half after a good run and was a constant threat when he moved to the left in the second half. 8.
Jimi Tauriainen - Was helpful in Chelsea arresting control of possession in the second period when he moved back to the centre of the pitch and was able to move forwards with the ball. 6
Leo Castledine - A tenacious presence, and the attacker was unafraid to try and fashion an opportunity on goal. He netted two impressive headers to try and keep the Blues in the game. 8.
Soonsup-Bell - Chelsea struggled to get their primary striker involved, though Soonsup-Bell was foiled early in the second half when trying to get a strike off. Did well to win Chelsea their penalty via some nice footwork but was unable to capitalise. 6.
