Mauricio Pochettino made it two wins from two as Chelsea manager after a 4-3 win over Brighton in Philadelphia.
Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk, Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson were all on the scoresheet as the Blues made the most of their numerical advantage following a red card to Jan Paul van de Hecke on the hour mark.
That makes it nine goals scored in two games under Pochettino after the 5-0 win over Wrexham earlier this week. While there will be tougher tests to come, Chelsea are certainly showing signs of rapid-fire progress.
Jackson’s goal was the pick of the bunch. The forward impressed with his overall play and teed up Mudryk but the manner in which he fired a lethal finish past Jason Steele spoke of a player able to hit the ground running straightaway after his transfer from Villarreal.
