Chelsea have 11 matches to improve their league position but are nine points from a Europa League spot and 11 from a Champions League one before they welcome Aston Villa who sit level on points with their hosts. Graham Potter's start to life at Stamford Bridge has been far from easy with injuries hampering any sort of consistency on the pitch but will be keen to push on in the business end of the season which includes a Champions League clash with holders Real Madrid.
The Blues are the favourites to win at Stamford Bridge with Betfred pricing them at 8/13 for three points while Villa are 9/2 and a draw is 11/4. The visitors have picked up just one of their last 17 away Premier League games against Chelsea including losing 12 times while they have lost six in their last seven games since a 3-1 win in December 2011.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery's Villa will be looking to keep the momentum going as go 11 points ahead of anyone involved in the relegation dogfight this season. They have avoided getting involved in that largely thanks to the Spaniard's arrival and go into this match unbeaten in their last four league outings including three wins.
