Your morning Chelsea transfer round-up on Sunday, January 1.
New signing set for exit
David Datro Fofana could be on his way out of Chelsea just days after he was announced as having joined from Molde. The 19-year-old striker is a player for the future but may be called upon earlier than expected.
Due to Armando Broja's injury keeping him out until the end of the season Graham Potter needs a new third choice forward. Fofana takes that spot for now but reports suggest PSV Eindhoven are interested in taking him on loan.
As an inexperienced player at the top level, Fofana may be afforded the chance to leave for the rest of the season to gain consistent first team football.

This opens up the chance for a loan incoming to be completed though and that could include Joao Felix.

£26m Enzo alternative
If Chelsea need to save money on a new midfielder then they could look to trigger the £26m option to buy current loanee Denis Zakaria.
The Swiss international has come into contention having largely been excluded from first team matchdays before the World Cup. His presence against Bournemouth as a box-to-box figure was further proof of his recent development.
Fernandez could cost a massive £105m which could stop Todd Boehly from pursuing other targets in 2023. At some point the money will need to be reigned in and Zakaria could provide a cheap option.

Badiashile competition
Monaco manager Phillipe Clement has issued a warning to Chelsea ahead of their proposed transfer of centre-back Benoit Badiashile.
The defender is close to agreeing a £35m deal to join the Blues as football.london understands but things may not be that simple. Clement explained: "I don't think there is only one club that has approached Benoit Badiashile.
"It's not just Chelsea. There has been a lot of interest in several of our players over the past six months. This is also the case with Benoit."
