Fresh Caicedo price tag
Chelsea's move for Brighton star Moises Caicedo could be heavily impacted by their rivals Arsenal completing the signing of Declan Rice this summer.
The Ecuadorian international has played as a deeper midfielder for the Seagulls, where his defensive ability has impressed many, but his comfort on the ball makes him highly valuable too. It means that any move for a player of that quality and in that age range is going to cost a lot.
And, according to the Telegraph, it could well rack up to over £100million as Brighton look to gain maximum value from their midfielder.
The price is said to be intertwined with rivals Arsenal and their move for Declan Rice, with the England international set to make the move to north London for a club record £105million fee - also a record for a British player.
Chelsea transfer boost with £42m decision
Mauricio Pochettino could welcome a new goalkeeper this summer despite wanting Kepa Arrizabalaga remain as his No.1 option.
Mike Maignan, Andre Onana and David Raya were put forward as some early options with the Blues discussing Onana during meetings with Inter that were scheduled to be based on the future of Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United are also in search of a new signing between the sticks and had identified Costa as an option, however they are now formally pursuing Onana. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, a second bid totalling €50million (£42m) is being prepared by those at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag choosing for a reunion with his former Ajax goalkeeper now looks to have given the Blues a free run at Costa with fresh talks held in recent days, according to Simon Phillips' Substack (subscription required).
Levi Colwill message
Harvey Elliot has added flame to the fire surrounding talk of Liverpool making a summer transfer move for Levi Colwill with a cryptic four-message to the Chelsea star.
Celebrating their latest victory, Colwill posted to Instagram with several pictures of him in action accompanied by the caption, "One last push! Onto the final".
Elliot then promptly responded to the post with a comment that said, "let's have a chat, *laughing face emoji*. However, the reply was soon deleted and replaced with the 20-year-old saying, "some player".
Liverpool have shown a strong interest in completing a summer signing for the defender but Chelsea are adamant he will not be sold.
Amid this stance, a new bumper contract is in the works for Colwill, however he is in no rush to sign an extension and is said to want first-team assurances from Pochettino before doing so.
