Your morning Chelsea transfer round-up on Saturday, January 28.
Malo Gusto agreement
Chelsea have reached an agreement with Lyon for Malo Gusto, football.london understands. The 19-year-old defender is set to stay at the French outfit until the end of the season on loan.
The Blues began talks with Lyon over the weekend before submitting an opening offer which was thought to be around €17million (£14.9million), but Laurent Blanc's side immediately turned that down. After plenty of negotiating, the two parties eventually reached an agreement which sees Gusto join the west Londoners for around £26.3million, plus add-ons.
Todd Boehly has already welcomed six new faces to Stamford Bridge this month; Mykhailo Mudryk; Benoit Badiashile; Andrey Santos; Noni Madueke; David Datro Fofana; Joao Felix (on loan from Atletico Madrid). Now, with Gusto, Graham Potter will finally have high-quality backup for Reece James.

Gavi opportunity
Chelsea have been gifted a huge boost in the race to tie Gavi down to a senior contract. The 18-year-old faces an increasingly uncertain future at Barcelona, with the Spanish giants yet to register him as a senior player.
According to ESPN, La Liga have rejected Barcelona's request to register the midfielder as a first-team player with a new and improved contract. He agreed terms on a new deal in September which would keep him at the Camp Nou until 2026 - there is also a huge €1 billion release clause.
Barcelona filed the necessary paperwork on Wednesday but because the club have no room to register Gavi within their spending limit their request was rejected.
Caicedo request
Moises Caicedo could hand in a transfer request just days after claiming that he's 'focused on Brighton'. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea this month as he continues to impress for the Seagulls.
The midfielder is considering submitting a transfer request in order to force an exit from the Amex Stadium, according to the Daily Mail. The report states that the Ecuadorian wants to test himself at a higher level.
