Chelsea transfer news: Erling Haaland call imminent, Darwin Nunez race, Matthijs de Ligt price

Chelsea are hoping to bounce back from their Champions League exit to Real Madrid when they switch their attention to the FA Cup this weekend. The Blues face Crystal Palace in the semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.

Meanwhile, there are continued updates around the club's ownership as prospective bidders line up to take control after Roman Abramovich. The takeover will no doubt impact how Chelsea are able to operate in this summer's transfer window with a view to improving Thomas Tuchel's squad.

Fans will be hoping that the ownership situation is sorted out as soon as possible, giving Chelsea as much time to prepare for the off-season with a number of players set to leave and replacements needed. Here is a round-up of the latest transfer news and rumours:

Erling Haaland to make decision

Erling Haaland is set to choose his next club in the next two weeks, according to MailOnline, with the Borussia Dortmund striker linked with moves to Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea. Haaland has a £63million release clause in his Dortmund contract, and his agent, Mino Raiola, is also set to cash in with a huge bonus. In total, the deal for Haaland is likely to be close to £100m.

Haaland has established himself as the best young centre forward in world football ever since his arrival in Germany, scoring 56 league goals in 62 games for Dortmund. The Norwegian, Leeds-born star is expected to make his decision in two weeks.

Darwin Nunez race hots up

Many eyes from around Europe would have been on one man as Benfica travelled to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Wednesday evening. That's Darwin Nunez of course, who has attracted the interest of several European clubs, including Chelsea, this season with his sensational performances for Benfica.

The 22-year-old, who is thought to be available for €70million (£58.2million) in the summer transfer window, did not let any of his interested parties down on the biggest stage. Nunez had the ball in the back of the net on three occasions at Anfield - with all of them being top finishes - but only one of them counted follosing VAR checks.

He is expected to be a target for Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United this summer - could the Blues see him as their Romelu Lukaku replacement and Haaland alternative should they fail to acquire the Norwegian?

Chelsea learn Matthijs de Ligt price

Italian outlet Calciomercato say Juventus have slapped a huge price tag on Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt, with Chelsea reportedly very interested in bringing him in this summer. De Ligt started off slowly in Italy but has now established himself as Juventus' top centre-back, with the Turin side struggling in recent seasons.

But the Italian giants have slapped an £83.6 million price tag on De Ligt to prise him away. Chelsea will be in the market for more than one centre-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen all looking likely to leave once their contracts expire on July 1.
