Chelsea have been told to prioritise the arrival of Tottenham captain Harry Kane over former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old striker recently became a free agent after the Red Devils announced on Tuesday that he would leave the club immediately.
Naturally, Ronaldo has been heavily linked with several of the world's richest clubs as he looks to find a new home. One of which has been Chelsea after Todd Boehly tried to lure the Portugal international to Stamford Bridge in the summer before former boss Thomas Tuchel stood in his way.
According to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes will offer his client to the Blues, but a move 'remains complicated'. The report confirms that Tuchel was a primary' roadblock' in negotiations last summer, with the German refusing to hold serious discussions over signing the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
