Chelsea told to play ‘perfect centre-forward’ Armando Broja ahead of Kai Havertz

Chelsea already have the "perfect centre-forward" at the club in Armando Broja, who should be starting ahead of Kai Havertz, according to Darren Bent.

Havertz is expected to lead the line for the Blues this season, in a front three which will also include summer signing Raheem Sterling, with fellow forwards Romelu Lukaku shipped out on loan and Timo Werner facing an uncertain future.

But it is Broja, who is back after a successful loan spell with Southampton, who should be getting the nod, according to the former striker.

Broja has been linked with a move away, though West Ham have dropped their interest, and Bent feels Tuchel should trust the youngster at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent said: "Why have they not brought Broja back? He's a perfect centre-forward. It looks like they are going to let him go. Give him a go.

"If they create chances for him, he will score goals. He showed that at Southampton."

Darren Ambrose added: "I think he should be their No.9. At No.9, I’d play him ahead of Havertz."
