Chelsea: Thomas Tuchel speaks out on Graham Potter’s sacking with telling insight into club

Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea has changed “massively” in the short period since he left the club, following Graham Potter’s sacking as manager.

The Blues dismissed Tuchel in September and underwent a radical overhaul behind the scenes, installing Potter as manager and pumping hundreds of millions into the transfer market.

Christopher Vivell arrived as technical director in December a month after Paul Winstanley left Brighton to becomes Chelsea’s new transfer chief.

Speaking on Monday, Tuchel is quoted by Bild as saying: “I read the message last night.

“It took me a while to process my dismissal. The club has changed massively, so it affected me less.”

Tuchel, 49, has since taken charge of Bayern Munich and won his first game in charge on the weekend, defeating old club Borussia Dortmund 4-2 to go top of the Bundesliga.

Former Brighton defender Bruno Saltor has been named interim Chelsea boss following Potter’s departure.

Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino are among the early frontrunners for the position on a permanent basis.
