Chelsea Supporters' Trust urged fans to get behind the team during Thursday night's fixture against Norwich City amid troubling times for the club.
The UK Government froze the assets of owner Roman Abrahmovich on Thursday morning, placing the club in turmoil in the immediate future.
As a result of the sanctions imposed, only season ticket holders and fans who had purchased tickets before hand will be allowed into games and no player contracts are allowed to be renewed, or new players bought.
Before the Blues visited Norwich in the Premier League, shirt sponsor Three announced they were temporarily suspending their sponsorship of the team and asked to have their branding removed from the club shirts.
With so much uncertainty around the club and team, the Chelsea Supporters' Trust released a statement online calling for fans to back the team.
"The players need our support more than ever. Tonight, let's get behind the team, rather than focusing on today's news.
"Now is the time for Chelsea supporters to focus on actions we can take to protect the future of our club.
"Supporters should be respectful of any pre-match show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people who are suffering appallingly at the hands of Putin."
Prior to kick-off in Chelsea's last game, there was a minute's applause in support of the people of Ukraine but there were allegations of Blues fans interrupting the applause to chant Abramovich's name.
