Chelsea youngster Cesare Casadei scored a stunning goal against Peterborough as the young Blues progressed to the third round of the Papa Johns Trophy.
The Italian midfielder was purchased for £20million from Inter Milan over the summer in a large scale youth recruitment drive from the new owners. Casadei, who is yet to play a senior game in his career, is one of the best prospects currently at Cobham.
His big frame makes Casadei a brilliant option in midfield across the centre of the pitch. He is able to play as a defensive midfielder, in a pivot or as an attacking player too, and that has proved the case so far. For Chelsea's Under-21s side he has scored four times in eight matches with one assist, but his long-range strike against Posh was the biggest indicator of his talent so far.

Playing against League One promotion chasers Peterborough in the cup, Casadei latched onto his own misplaced and deflected pass before surging into midfield. With two Posh players converging on him, he took two steps to get the ball out of his feet and sent a 40-yard shot flying into the top right-hand corner.
The strike flew past another Chelsea loanee, Lucas Bergstrom, who has impressed on his first senior season away from the club. Bergstrom stands at over two metres tall as a 20-year-old and still couldn't even lay a hand on Casadei's wonder strike.
The Italian came to Chelsea having been a star player for Italy Under-21s at the European Championships and may well have left on loan had he not needed time to adjust to the country. He has been able to bring plenty to a very talented squad for Mark Robinson.
He has already scored with his head and now smashed in a piledriver against good cup opposition. Having been sent off for two yellow cards in his fourth match, Casadei's goal may well be a message to Graham Potter whilst the World Cup is going on.
The Blues are light in midfield and are actively looking for new options, plus Potter has already made steps to integrate more young players after handing Lewis Hall two starts - including his league debut - and giving matchday time to Omari Hutchinson as well.
