Christian Pulisic was front-and-centre for the USMNT in their 7-1 thrashing of Grenada on Friday night.
The Chelsea star set up four goals and notched one for himself as the US went top of Group D in the Concacaf Nations League A ahead of Tuesday's game against El Salvador in Orlando. Pulisic dazzled for the USMNT as he took a break from club action and helped his country through the Nations League with his country still unbeaten and two points clear at the top of their group from El Salvador.
Taking to social media on Saturday, Pulisic uploaded a picture of him before the game with team-mate Matt Turner and while celebrating one of the USMNT's goals. Writing a caption alongside the pictures, Pulisic said: "Solid trip to Grenada."
Speaking after the match, Pulisic offered his assessment of the USMNT's Grenada thumping. "I thought it was a really good performance," he said. "Obviously we had one little hiccup for their goal, but other than that I thought we were relentless and that showed with the amount of goals and chances we created.
"We wanted to get off to a good start and we did that with the early goal, and from there we never really looked back. "It was a really good performance from the guys."
Pulisic and his team-mates now head back to the US for their final game of the international break and will look to put in another superb performance in front of their own supporters. "We’re really excited to go back and play in Orlando," Pulisic added.
"It’s always nice to play in front of our home fans and against El Salvador, where we’ve had some good matches against them in the past. "It will be a tough opponent but one we’re looking forward to facing."
