Chelsea Football Club has secured the signature of Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from fellow Premier League side Brighton, in a deal reported to be worth £25 million ($32 million) with an additional sell-on clause. The seven-year contract has been finalised as Chelsea aims to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Sanchez, who is a 25-year-old Spain international, lost his starting position at Brighton during the latter part of the previous season, making way for Jason Steele. Nevertheless, his impressive performances in the Premier League and international experience have made him an enticing prospect for the Blues.
