Robert Lewandowski's desire to join Barcelona from Bayern Munich has been one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has now expressed an interest in the Poland striker.
Bayern Munich are insisting on a fee of €50million for Lewandowski, who has made it very clear he wants to leave the Bundesliga giants for a new challenge, and now it appears a resolution is in sight.
Also possibly leaving Bayern is Leroy Sane and the former Manchester City winger is being linked with a move away.
Mirror Sport has the latest transfer news from around Europe, including updates on Lewandowski, Sane and Newcastle-target Hugo Ekitike.
Barcelona to make fourth and final offer for Lewandowski
SportBILD report that Barcelona are making a fourth and final attempt to prise Robert Lewandowski away from Bayern Munich.
Bayern have been unflinching in their demands for 50million euros up front for Lewandowski, who has told them he wants to leave after eight years with the Bundesliga giants.
Barcelona's most-recent bid was believed to be worth 40million euros up front with another 5million in add-ons.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel claims he is interested in Lewandowski, but the Poland striker has made it clear he wants to move to the Nou Camp.
Real offered the chance to sign Sane from Bayern
A report from Marca claims Bayern Munich have offered Real Madrid the chance to sign Leroy Sane.
Sane scored 13 goals last season for Bayern and has three years left on the contract he signed when he joined from Manchester City in 2020.
The Germany international would be an attractive proposition for any club in Europe, but a move to the Bernabeu appears unlikely after Carlo Ancelotti claimed Real's transfer business is done.
"I can tell you we won't sign anyone," said Ancelotti. "We're fine as it is."
PSG set to sign Newcastle-target Ekitike
SkySports report that Paris St Germain are poised to sign Newcastle -target Hugo Ekitike from Reims.
Newcastle tried to prise Ekitike away from the Ligue 1 club in January and this summer, but were unable to finalise a deal each time.
Now PSG have reportedly agreed a 35million euro deal with Reims to land the hitman.
The Toon will be disappointed, but they will quickly move on to other striking targets.
