Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, with the 27-year-old penning a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge. It's said that the England international snubbed enquiries from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in order to engineer a £47.5million move to Stamford Bridge.
Sterling was heavily linked with an exit from the Etihad Stadium last summer but a move failed to materialise. He went on to feature 30 times for Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League, directly contributing towards 19 goals.
The forward's impressive displays steered City towards the club's second successive league title, arming Thomas Tuchel with great firepower as Todd Boehly plots a title charge in west London. With Sterling already in Los Angeles and set to join up with the squad amid Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States, he has one decision left to make - and it's probably the hardest of the lot...

So, with that being said, football.london takes a closer look at what numbers are - and are not - available to Sterling.
Number 7
Sterling has donned the number seven for City since penning a deal at the Etihad Stadium in 2015 and it's fair to say that it's served him well, winning nine major honours including four Premier League titles. However, the number seven is occupied by fan favourite N'Golo Kante.
Though the France international faces an increasingly uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, it would likely cause trigger an uproar among fans if Sterling were to snatch it - unless of course Kante willingly offers the number up.
Number 9
While there isn't necessarily great history behind the number nine for Sterling, it's a number which is available. However, the number is notoriously cursed at Chelsea, with only Tammy Abraham breaking the jinx since Didier Drogba left the club.
Number 10
The famous number ten, not just at Chelsea but worldwide. Like Kante, this number is taken meaning that Christian Pulisic will likely have the final say on whether he passes up the shirt.
Though - again - unlikely, the United States international has too been linked with an exit from west London this summer. With Sterling and Pulisic set to compete for first-team opportunities, it puts the number ten in question.
Number 11
Sterling has worn the number 11 sporadically throughout his career with the Liverpool under-21s and England. But, the number is another which is currently taken, this time by Timo Werner.
Without sounding like a broken record, the striker is another of whom whose future is in doubt at Chelsea this summer.
Number 17
Probably the most likely option of the lot. This holds great weight; it represents Eden Hazard's maiden number at the club.
Number 31
Surprisingly, the number 31 could be a possibility. Sterling donned this during his breakthrough campaign at Liverpool, though he'll have to ask Malang Sarr to give it up.
