Chelsea could be set to hold talks with Juventus over a renegotiated transfer fee for Denis Zakaria if the midfielder was to make a permanent switch. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Blues are unlikely to agree a permanent switch for the Swiss international on the terms in the loan agreement.
That is said to stand at roughly £29million in total, though given his lack of playing time over the course of the season, it is a hefty fee. While the Bianconeri are looking to move some players on, the report claims that it is possible Chelsea could open talks to renegotiate a fee.
Anything lower could see the Blues land a bargain in the transfer window, though CIES Football Observatory currently has his value set at just over £13million. The 26-year-old faces a huge few months before the end of the season to prove his place in the side before he returns to Turin.

Zakaria struggled to earn a place in the side under Thomas Tuchel, but the incoming Graham Potter gave plenty more time to the midfielder. Injury concerns have plagued the star in his loan spell too, but he has shown impressive spells when given a chance in the team.
"Whenever Denis has played he has not let us down," Potter said back in December. "Playing in the Champions League against Zagreb, he scored and he showed his quality. He's had to be patient.
"We had some good options in midfield and you have to remember, we didn't lose anything for the first few games so it was hard for him to get that opportunity. But he's remained professional and worked really hard and that's why he got his rewards on Tuesday night with a decent performance and contribution to a win."
It remains to be seen which decision Chelsea will come to when his future at the club is to be considered, but there's plenty of room for debate on either side of him staying at Stamford Bridge or returning to Juve in the summer.
