Chelsea's transfer business over the previous two windows has demonstrated Todd Boehly's long-term vision at the club. Numerous young talents have been acquired since the U.S billionaire completed his takeover at the club as the next generation of Chelsea superstars are prioritised.
This season, the current crop of stars have been dealt a tough hand with injuries disrupting any hopes of consistency in the Premier League. The Blues are 10th and out of both domestic competitions amid Graham Potter's worst run in charge of the club.
Whilst the majority of Potter's squad is filled with players in their peak or untapped potential, there remain numerous figures past their best and in desperate need of a reshuffle. Boehly began work on the future of the club in the summer with Omari Hutchinson, Gabriel Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei and Zak Sturge.

The January window has followed suit with three further young players signed in the opening week in Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos. Enzo Fernandez, 21, has also been strongly linked with a move to west London and Christopher Nkunku is expected to sign for the club in the summer.
One player that has been monitored by Boehly and Behdad Eghbali is Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko. The teenager has six months remaining on his current deal in Germany and has been tipped for a summer move to the Premier League.
However, despite reports in Germany claiming the Blues were in the lead for his signature, Premier League rivals Newcastle have made their first move.. According to the Evening Standard, Eddie Howe's big-spenders have presented a 'substantial verbal approach' that could see him earn over £150,000-per-week at Tyneside.
The approach comes as Dortmund remain keen to tie Moukoko down to a new deal but face issues with agreeing terms. The report claims Newcastle are aiming to secure the best free transfers in the summer to comply with Financial Fair Play in a bid to bring Champions League football to St James' Park.
