Chelsea have long been full of admiration for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and are considering making a big-money move for him in the summer transfer window.
The Nigerian has been in sensational form for the Italian club and has helped fire them to their first Serie A title in over 30 years. Osimhen has scored 23 goals in 29 games in the Italian top-flight making the Napoli hitman one of the most sought-after strikers in world football right now.
Napoli are adamant Osimhen will not be leaving the club this summer, whatever the offer, a source has told football.london; but Chelsea are not being put off by the club's stubborn stance. The Blues are looking for a centre-forward for the summer who can help inspire a much-improved 2023/24 campaign after what has been a disastrous season on and off the pitch this time around.

The club view Osimhen as that man but are aware that no European football could prove to be an obstacle in any move for the 24-year-old forward. Osimhen will have Champions League football at Napoli once again next season and will have clubs present in European football's elite competition interested in him over the summer transfer window.
Back in March, Osimhen spoke to Sport1 and admitted he doesn't know what his future holds. The Nigerian said he will speak to his agent at the end of the season and try to find the best solution but didn't rule out moving away from Naples.
"I don't know what the future holds," the striker said. "I think I'm on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything. I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together."
Chelsea are already bringing Christopher Nkunku to the club after agreeing a deal with RB Leipzig months ago for the Frenchman's services. Although that hasn't been made official by the club just yet, football.london understands that move is still expected to happen in the summer.
There are set to be more outgoings than incomings at Chelsea over the next few months as the club prepare for a huge clear out of those unwanted players.
Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to become the new head coach at Stamford Bridge, although he hasn't signed the contract just yet. The Argentine, who is expected in London this week to finalise the deal, has already spoken to the club about transfer business, including those who they want to sign.
