Paulo Dybala is a free agent. No gimmicks, no tricks, no games. It's finally happening. After years of being linked to Premier League clubs in his career, the Argentinian has finally informed the world that he will not be signing a new contract with Juventus.
Considering the amount of interest that registered for the forward previously, It might be too late for him to make his come back, or maybe not?
He has been a talent that several teams have scouted for a reason. His rollercoaster treatment at Juventus has been monitored closely previously by Chelsea. Whilst I would love the opportunity to bid for Dybala, there's only one huge thing stopping us, the take over sanctions.

Just our luck, isn't it? Chelsea could have a dig at luring one of their long-term targets. They cannot even begin negotiations until Roman Abramovich has completely relinquished the club.
Chelsea are currently facing an array of bidding options to claim their new owner in time before they reach a financial crisis with no return. Whilst the Blues have financial contingencies in place keeping the club afloat, it's only a matter of time until they run out of resources.
Who would want to find themselves involved in this predicament by choice? Probably not Dybala. I am sure Arsenal, who are in need of a reliable, determined forward, would love to have a go at securing the man who was once Europe's most elite talents. We're unintentionally giving our rivals a free route to getting his signature for free.
Juventus and Dybala have all but confirmed his exit at the end of the season. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there was a verbal agreement in October for around '£6.6million plus £1.6m net salary until 2026, but Juventus had decided to change their proposal. The 28-year-old was unhappy with the changes to the terms previously agreed upon, so he will now open talks with other clubs.
Chelsea will probably have to give this a miss. Sadly capitalising on transfers currently is the least of their priorities. It's quite sad knowing what could have been.
Ousmane Dembele also falls into the category of star players destined to leave their clubs for free this summer. Whilst Chelsea had already expressed their interests in the Frenchman back in January. It'll be interesting to see where the two parties are in terms of negotiations now that there is a pool of uncertainty to address.
Hold on tight, Chelsea fans. The transfer window is going to be a turbulent ride.
