Chelsea Premier League squad confirmed as Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk absence explained

Chelsea have confirmed their Premier League squad for the remainder of the season following the end of the January transfer window. The Blues, along with all other 19 clubs in the top flight, have to submit a squad that will last them until the end of the season with winter acquisitions likely to be included.

Each club must submit a 25-man squad and a list of registered Under-21 players eligible for selection. Within the 25-man squads, no more than 17 overseas players can be named, with the remaining spots going to home-grown members.

In that under-21s list are three new January signings in Benoit Badiashile, Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez. The latter duo are both 22 but qualify as under-21 players for the 2022/23 campaign, as they were been born on or after 1 January 2001. Also included in that list are Levi Colwill, Ian Maatsen and Cesare Casadei who are all out on loan.

Trevoh Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Conor Gallagher, Reece James, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Bettinelli make up the eight homegrown players. Loan signing Joao Felix is included in that 25-man list, while Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos are named in the under-21 section.

Chelsea can update their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
