William Saliba has been sensational for Arsenal so far in the Premier League campaign. His defensive excellence was highlighted in the North London Derby against Tottenham as the Gunners came out 3-1 winners.
The Frenchman has bought a sense of calmness and assertiveness to Mikel Arteta’s defence which was evidently lacking last season. More interestingly, he has also added speed to the backline, which is also crucial to playing a high line.
However, his impact in an Arsenal shirt almost never happened due to interest in the transfer window. But, Mikel Arteta can thank Chelsea that Saliba remained an Arsenal after the end of the summer transfer window.
