Chelsea player ratings vs Leeds - Mason Mount stars as Trevoh Chalobah completes FA Cup audition

Edouard Mendy

He took some goal kicks. Had nothing to do all evening. 5.

Trevoh Chalobah

The young defender came in for his first start since helping to keep a clean sheet against West and soon showed his ability in anticipating the ball and keeping calm under pressure. A very good outing albeit against a relegation-threatened side which should put him in contention for the FA Cup final. 8.

Andreas Christensen

The Denmark international took to the heart of Chelsea's defence to offer Thiago SIlva a rest and performed well. Rarely under pressure but didn't look out of place. 6.

Antonio Rudiger

A first off outing where his usual strength waivered in moments and the German international lacked the conviction Chelsea have grown accustomed to. Steady nevertheless. 6.

Reece James

There's no denying Reece James is a threat from wing-back and still teams can't stop him. It initially looked like he may have pondered too long on the ball but found Mason Mount on the edge of the Leeds box for Chelsea's opening goal. Metronomic in his ability to get up and down the flank once again. 7.

Jorginho

Sat at the base of the Blues midfield looking to control the tempo of the match and produced a much-needed tackle on Rodrigo in the second period as Leeds looked to break. Brought leadership the Blues perhaps lacked at the weekend. 6.

Mateo Kovacic

A short evening for the Croatian midfielder after Daniel James' brutal tackle. Kovacic had showed an ability to waltz through the Leeds lines during his time on the pitch, however. His inability to carry on could leave Thomas Tuchel sweating for the FA Cup final. 6.

Marcos Alonso

Looked like he had been left in Robin Koch's dust in first-half stoppage time but miraculously managed to make the tackle deep in Chelsea's half. Solid outing. 6.

Christian Pulisic

A quiet first half from the American of which the most memorable moment was his close-range miss when the passage of play was judged offside. Looked to come more into the game after being fouled by Kalvin Phillips and produced a fine strike to add Chelsea's second. 7.

Romelu Lukaku

it was nice to see the Belgian striker feel truly involved in a Chelsea match for a sustained period of time. His runs would draw defenders, and his distribution would bring teammates into play. A poor first touch almost denied him a goal but his strength and conviction allowed him to score from close range and send Leeds fans home. 8.

Mason Mount

The Chelsea star may have cupped his ears to Leeds United fans but it's a message that should head out to the doubters too. The Blues may have scored twice against Wolves without him but the 23-year-old is a prime threat for the Blues when given freedom. Mount's curling strike gave Chelsea their lead and his clever assist allowed Pulisic to double the deficit. 9.

Substitutes

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Once again showed his ability to drive up the pitch with the ball and was crucial in the build-up to Chelsea's third goal. Flourished as the game wore on. 7.

Hakim Ziyech - Limited time to make an impact but was provided with an opportunity to be impactful and found Lukaku in the box ahead of his goal with a very composed pass. 6.

Cesar Azpilicueta - Brought a steady presence to the right flank in the final 15 minutes. 6.
