Kepa Arrizabalaga - Stood little chance against Matheus Nunes' fierce strike and was challenged little otherwise. 5.
Reece James - Was not too involved in the game in first half but found a better rhythm in the second period and provided some testing deliveries from the right. 5.
Wesley Fofana - Produced an excellent tackle on Joao Gomes in the first period and contended well in a physical battle with Diego Costa. Was forced to be one of Chelsea's better performers along with Kalidou Koulibaly. 7.

Kalidou Koulibaly - The Senegal international was kept busier than you might have liked in the opening half of football and produced some strong headers and strong tackles too. Endured some difficult moments against Matheus Cunha when left isolated and shaky final five minutes. 6.
Marc Cucurella - A steady if unspectacular outing from Cucurella where the Spaniard was perhaps lucky to stay on the pitch after he jumped into a challenge on Nunes and only received a yellow. 5.
Conor Gallagher - A typically busy performance from Gallagher but the former Crystal Palace loanee struggled to find his way into the game. Produced some good exchanges down the right in the second period and looked to make runs into the box. 5.
Enzo Fernandez - Looked to be playing a quarter-back role of sorts for Chelsea and had some nice interchanges but the west London side struggled to move the ball forwards overall. 5.
Mateo Kovacic - Had a difficult time on the pitch with a number of misplaced passes and niggly fouls. 4.
Raheem Sterling - Struggled to get involved in the game and saw the few deliveries he could provide snuffed out. 4.
Kai Havertz - Anonymous in the first 45 minutes and while he became more involved in the second he could not convince Frank Lampard he deserved much more time on the pitch. 3.
Joao Felix - Started the game wide on the left and was probably the most involved of Chelsea's starting forwards. The loanee was a rare player who could find a chance for the Blues but he could not find the net. 6.
Substitutes
Christian Pulisic - The American replaced Havertz on the hour mark but struggled to impact the game too much. 5.
Ben Chilwell - Saw a wild strike go wide in stoppage time and was stationed high up the pitch as Lampard looked to change the game. 5.
Mykhailo Mudryk - Looked lively on the few occasions he received the ball and was quickly fouled but rarely found in a dangerous position. 5.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Looked to inject some energy into Chelsea's press after coming on and quickly headed wide. Chelsea struggled to find him often enough though he had a penalty appeal waved away in the final 10 minutes. 5.
Trevoh Chalobah - Entered the pitch in the final 10 minutes after Fofana appeared to pick up a knock. N/A
