Chelsea were left to rue their own mistakes once again after dropping more points at home this season. The 2-2 draw with Everton saw them score twice for the third game in a row, the first time they've done that since October, but costly errors at the back saw them take just a point.
Sean Dyche's relegation threatened Everton responded to going behind twice in the second half with goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ellis Simms, earning themselves a valuable point. Graham Potter, however, was left wondering just why it is always his side who cannot seem to score when on top.
The Blues were good value for their lead just after the break having played well in the first half but went into their shell, allowing the visitors back into the mix. Even with that, the joint blips from Kalidou Koulibaly and Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had both played well until that point, allowed Simms to cash in for a late equaliser.
